The self inflatable boom is rapid, compact and easy to handle. It is self-inflating and expands the moment it is released. The boom has internally bound pliable frames which are pre-sprung with stainless steel springs. A patch of thick urethane rubber is placed outside each frame corner for increased durability. The sections are divided into airtight compartments
The Walboom is a self-inflating containment boom designed to be deployed by one man. The boom is given its shape by diamond-shaped frames along its length which lie folded flat while the boom is reeled but spring into shape thanks to the operation of a spring and the force in the frame-legs as the boom is deployed from the reel.
