The Sentinel booms are air filled which makes them quick and easy to deploy. They are designed as a rapid response to assist in the containment and recovery of accidentally spilt oil.

Their high buoyancy to weight ratio gives excellent wave following capability and heave response and their continuous cylindrical shape, coupled with low air inflation pressure, enhances flexibility and produces a very responsive containment system.

The range of boom sizes means that they can be used in almost any location, from rivers through to the open sea. The Sentinel boom is available in neoprene or polyurethane material; both options are highly durable and resistant to UV and hydrocarbons.
