Oil spill response / Expertises, trainings, exercises & maintenance
Expertise built on real-world field operations
We offer expertise missions, technical assistance and training aimed at public authorities, port managers, industrial actors and international organizations.
Our services are based on field experience from major interventions worldwide: oil spills, coastal pollution, contaminated waste management, deployment of contingency plans.
In addition, we design and develop custom anti-pollution equipment adapted to the specific needs of operators, ports and emergency services. This capacity to engineer tailor-made solutions allows us to deliver technical solutions fully adapted to the constraints of each site.
Our services: expertise & support
Technical audits & operational advice
Evaluation of preparedness devices:
equipment and stock diagnostics
compliance checks
risk analysis in coastal or port zones
recommendations for improvement.
Assistance at equipment commissioning
We assist teams for:
the commissioning of floating booms, pumps, skimmers, absorbents, etc.
configuration, testing, adjustment
safety procedures
Practical deployment exercises & training
We organize exercises tailored to each structure:
boom deployment, use of skimmers, pumps and other specialized equipment
pollution control strategies
organization of coastal or port-side worksite
Support in action plan development
We help institutions strengthen their internal emergency response tools:
alert procedures
team organization
intervention plans

Comissioning of oil spill response equipment, Dakar, Senegal
One of our experts recently travelled to Senegal 🇸🇳 for the commissioning of a custom-made containerized system designed for pollution response. This tailored equipment package includes:
✔️ Hydraulically powered boom reels
✔️ Brush skimming system
✔️ Temporary floating storage tanks
✔️ 350 m of booms
🙏 A big thank you to Société Africaine de Raffinage for their trust, and to our long-time Spanish partner EXPANDI 🇪🇸 with whom we've been collaborating for over 20 years!

Exercise POLMAR plan, Pornic, France
🌊📢For several years now, Le Floch Dépollution has held a number of POLMAR-Terre contracts. In this context, we were asked by the DDTM of Loire-Atlantique to take part in an exercise that took place on October 1, 2024 in Pornic, during which we helped deploy a containment boom on land and clean it up with a high-pressure cleaner.
🎯 Organizing this type of exercise is essential for assessing response capabilities and, in this specific case, coordinating operations between public and private partners and thus ensuring a rapid response and effective management of response operations during accidental pollution incidents.

Design and installation of oil spill response booms and tidal compensators, France
We would like to thank ALPHA Nautique Services for trusting us to take part in this project, for which we :
👉 custom-designed the rails and tidal compensators
👉 supplied the anti-pollution boom
👉 provided assistance with the installation of the system.
The rail and tide compensator system enables the boom deployed between the rails to follow the movements of the water and differences in water level over significant heights.

Training oil spill response,New-Caledonia
Two of our experts travelled to 🇳🇨 New Caledonia from November 7 to 10, 2023 to carry out theoretical and practical training for the deployment of oil spill response equipment for SLN - Le Nickel personnel.
This equipment, some of which was designed specifically for SLN's needs, was supplied via our local partner Speed Marine :
- 400 m of containment boom
- Boom storage trailers with reel and hydraulic power pack
- Self-supporting tanks
- Trailers with storage box containing skimmers, pumps and hoses
🎯The program of this training included :
📚 Theoretical part with presentation of equipment and response strategies depending on the nature of the pollution,
🛠 A practical session with exercises for containment and recovery of the pollutant along the quay, trawling tests and maneuvering with the boom, as well as pump and boom maintenance.
🙏We would like to thank the SLN teams for their hospitality and motivation throughout this training course.
